The 2026 Stockton Heath Festival is celebrating how transport has shaped the area.

Land, air and sea! Look out for magnificent machines in Victoria Square WA4 2AF, around the village and on the Festival Field over the weekend. The Festival will also be featuring vintage vehicles, Model Railway Club open day at Grappenhall, Cheshire Cycles, Halton Model Flying Club, Thorn Marine boats and much more!

The Festival has over 50 events to choose from (many are free) beginning in June and ending at the Finale on Sunday 5th July.

Belmont Hall Tour Saturday 20th June (sorry, event is booked up)

History talk and tour of Belmont Hall (Cransley School): A unique opportunity to hear the history of this Grade I listed building and tour the building. Courtesy of our Festival Sponsors Cransley School and the owners, the Leigh family, This outstanding house, built in 1750 is of national importance and a fascinating glimpse into Georgian life. Pre-booking is essential places are limited to small groups only.

Sunday 21st June to Sunday 5th July: Transport-related Children’s Heritage & Art Trail Free activity, in participating Village shops. Children’s artwork and artifacts showing modes of transport through the ages in Stockton Heath. Can you find them all? Free guides: Festival website, Box Office and several shops.

Wednesday 1st to Saturday 4th July: Stockton Heath in Pictures Stockton Heath Gallery WA4 6NL. Drop in over the Festival week (10am to 4pm). Rolling display of vintage Village images from 1870, digitally improved showing our unique local history. Open to all.

Festival Art Exhibition 2026 Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th July

A very popular Festival event, high quality works. Whether you’re an art enthusiast, a budding artist, or curious, immerse yourself in mixed media artwork (many are for sale) and vote for your favourite to win the Tudor Pole Award.

From 10am to 4pm in the historic St Thomas’ Church WA4 6HJ. Activities for all ages and abilities.

Saturday and Sunday: Free art sessions 12 noon until 2pm: Family-friendly collage for children and young people.

Artisan Market: Festival Field | WA4 2AP | 10am to 5pm.

Browse and buy from the wide range of Arts and Crafts stalls selling unique items including jewellery, clothes, soft furnishings, candles, soaps, cards and many other special gifts. Tempt your taste buds at the produce stalls. Take home or build a picnic from pies, cakes, doughnuts, cheese and drinks and treats for dogs.

On the Water Thorn Marine From 9am, London Road WA4 6LE. Flotilla of vessels, boat rides, local vintage photos.

Hockey taster 10am to 4 pm | Sport field near Stockton Heath Library.

Model Railway Club Open Day 12 noon to 4pm Grappenhall Youth and Community Centre WA4 2SG. £2 adults, £1 children (under 5 free). Tickets on the door.

Alexandra Park Cafe WA4 2UT 1pm to 5pm, visit the Pavilion Cafe for cakes, coffee, tea and more. Run by volunteers, proceeds go to the park.

Bowling taster 2pm to 4pm | Alexandra Park green. Both tasters are on Saturday and Sunday. Come and try, all welcome.

Saturday  4th July

St Thomas’ Church Bell Tower Tours 2pm to 4pm, WA4 6HJ. A rare chance for visitors to climb the tower to the belfry and learn about bell ringing. Not suitable for anyone with limited mobility. Free, donations appreciated for the tower fund.

Police Station Tour – booked is now up From 10am, WA4 2AF. A rare opportunity to visit this landmark Grade II listed building, and explore the evolution of policing. Small groups, steps so limited accessibility in some areas. Must book free tickets online.

Allotment Open Day 10am to 3pm at Red Lane allotments, WA4 5AB. Buy local fresh produce, refreshments are available.

Saturday 4th JUly on the Festival Field from 10am
  • 10am – Studio 54 Dance Academy session: Vibrant, joyous and interactive, children of all levels welcome (Kid’s Zone). Free. Age 4+.
  • 10am – Home Run Hounds NW charity: Meet and greet the greyhounds.
  • 10:30am – Victoria Dance Academy: Dynamic performance with purpose, passion and precision.
  • From 11am – Cheshire Fire Brigade. Meet brave firefighters. Have a photo with vehicles, learn about fire safety. Say hello to other emergency services.
  • 11:30am – Sophit Family Fitness Class (Kid’s Zone): High-energy, parents and children. £5 for 4 people.
  • 11:30am – Studio 54 Dance Academy: Heidi Reading and dancers showcasing their talent, creativity, and confidence at the Festival!
  • 1pm – Flâneur’s Stroll begins on the Festival Field. The art of slow exploration. No map, no hurry, no destination. Flâneurs are renowned for vintage attire, so don a little old-world finery. All abilities. Free. Dogs, children, curious minds welcome.
  • 1pm – Children’s Crafts (Kid’s Zone): Get arty! Colouring, creativity, all ages. All materials are included. Free.
  • 1:30pm – Emilie Culshaw: Multi-award-winning Liverpool artist, signed to Big Condo Records. Raw storytelling, soul-stirring, genre-blending sound.
  • 2:30pm – Tracey Goodwin, electric violin musician guaranteed to electrify with an eclectic mix.
  • 3pm – Messy Babes Messy Play and Sensory Class (Kid’s Zone): Learning without having to clear up! 5 months to 5 years. £5 per child.
  • 3:30pm – Musicians Si and Dylan Barnard, local acoustic artists. Original and crowd-pleasing indie classics and other favourites.
  • 4:30pm – Lè-Verg Music duo from Halton, their eclectic musical taste gives them an edge.
  • 4:30pm – Lemon Studios Pottery Workshop (Kid’s Zone). Join Jeni for a family friendly, fun filled pottery experience and create a group sculpture. All materials provided. £10 per child.
Sunday 5th July on the Festival Field from 10am
  • 10am – Animal Teach Exciting, educational, interactive workshops, promoting life-long learning. Helps to Inspire Our Future – one animal encounter at a time. Kid’s Zone. £10 per child.
  • 10:30am – JC Dance performance, building confidence, creativity, and strong technique while nurturing a genuine love of dance.
  • 11:30am – Tres Hombres Professional singer and guitarist performing a selection of popular songs people love to hear.
  • From 12 noon – Fun Dog Show Festival favourite. Includes best puppy, waggiest tail and best in show. Small cost per entry, free to visit. Prizes kindly donated by Pet’s Pantry, Stockton Heath.
  • 12:30pm – Trainmaster All things trains. Giant hands-on track, ride on train, crafts, fancy dress (Kid’s Zone) £8.
  • 1pm – Kiwi Chorus Vibrant, feel-good harmony group, rich harmonies, warmth, and infectious energy.
  • 2pm – Earl of Stamford Morris Cotswold Morris dancing tradition.
  • 2:15pm – Children’s Craft Get arty! Small group, colouring, crafts and creativity for all ages. Materials provided (Kids Zone) free.
  • 3pm – Throwback Masters Good vibes hitting Stockton Heath Festival, a set of best 80s, 90s and 00s classics.
  • 3:30pm & 4:15pm – Kiddie Cook Book 1 of 2 sessions, award-winning learning (Kid’s Zone). Everything provided. £10/child.
  • 4pm – Salsa Dance Lesson (inside Main Marquee) Free, try it!
